Dune gnomes (also called desert gnomes or sand gnomes) live in deserts. Like garden and woodland gnomes, they make their homes under trees, usually pine trees. The males wear orange caps with green shirts and khaki trousors, and the females wear pale orange (before marriage, with braids sticking out) or pale green (after marriage, with a scarf over hair), a khaki skirt and a cream shirt with orange embroidory.
