House gnomes live in houses, particularly old ones - they don't care a bit for the new houses from late years. They wear any color of clothing, made of fabric scraps, rags, and your old clothes. It is quite lucky to have a house gnome, and you very well may have some in your house! As long as you are kind, they might reward you, and even if they do not, you will likely have no trouble with them. They may, however, play tricks on you, as gnomes are mischevious creatures, though most house gnomes - likely because of their closeness with humans - are significantly more wary and shy than other varieties may be. They are also the most educated. You can befriend them by leaving out little gifts such as milk, clothing, etc. Be careful, though, if you neglect to clean or perform maintenence on your house, they will grow offended and move away.
They will take small amounts of food from you to live on, or venture outside and harvest garden or forest foods. An everyday breakfast has:
-Berries
-Porridge
-Ant eggs
And dinner:
-Bread
-Spice cake(?)
-Vegetables(?)
The above, along with any food from your cabinets or fridge, is their daily diet.
